SG Arrival Card general information
The Singapore Arrival Card was introduced by the Government of Singapore in order to replace the former paper-based Embarkation/Disembarkation system.
Holding the card enables saving plenty of time since travelers arriving in Singapore only need to show an individual QR code to go through border control. The code can be saved on a mobile device, and there is no need to show its print-out copy.
To fill out the SG health declaration, a traveler needs to provide some passport, personal, travel, and health-related information. The entire application can be completed online using any Internet-connected electronic device.
It is essential to submit the application 3 business days (72 hours) before the planned visit to Singapore. The card is issued only for one entry to Singapore, so the new SG Arrival Card must be obtained at any time when you wish to visit Singapore.
Please note that although some countries’ nationals can enjoy visa-free entry to Singapore, the SG Arrival Card is a different document than a visa and is required of any traveler arriving in the country.
If you are a citizen of a non-visa-exempt country, you will need to obtain both documents, i.e., a Singaporean visa and the SG Arrival Card, prior to your trip.
